Note: Both students and alumni are encouraged to apply.  Students seeking internships for school credit may also apply. Please note this in the application form.

Halal Food Project

MSA National is partnering with Halal Healthy to develop sustainable halal food programs on campuses across North America. Volunteers will correspond with MSAs working to implement halal food programs on their campuses, update the existing guide to achieving halal food on campus, organize training opportunities for MSA leaders, and compile campus success stories.

9/11 Interfaith Service

Are you interested in Interfaith efforts? Assist the Community Service Task Force in developing the “Be Better Together for 9/11” initiative in conjunction with Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC). Be prepared to collaborate with a diverse group of organizations, communicate directly with MSAs organizing 9/11 Memorial events on their campuses, help develop marketing material and work to generate publicity for this service project.

Green project for Earth Day 2012

MSA National is looking for students that are passionate about the environment to help build a Green campaign culminating in Earth Day 2012. Interested volunteers will help brainstorm project ideas, manage each project, develop resources to help MSAs “go green”, organize training opportunities for MSA leaders, and compile campus success stories.

Scholarship

MSA National is looking for a liaison between the scholarship committee and applicants. Volunteers will correspond with applicants, address any questions or concerns they may have, manage applications, set up meetings, and ensure that the overall scholarship application process goes smoothly. This position requires someone who is a good communicator, detail oriented, and who can devote around fifteen hours a week near the application deadline.

Political Action

MSA National is looking for volunteers interested in civic engagement and political activism. Interested volunteers should keep up with national/world events, be prepared to research and develop material pertaining to specific subjects, assist with campaigns, and brainstorm new ways for MSA to increase its presence in the political sphere.

Zonal Committee

Volunteers will work with the zonal representatives to facilitate networking among chapters and ensure services/campaigns are reaching the regional and local levels.

Communications & Social Media

We are looking for volunteers that can manage and execute all communications for the organization (social media, e-newsletter, etc.). These individuals will be responsible for helping create and follow through on the communication plan, with the goal of enhancing connections between MSA National and Muslim students.

Graphic Designer

MSA National is searching for creative individuals to help bring our projects to life through graphic design! Volunteers should be prepared to work closely with the Communications/Marketing team to help create logos for initiatives, banners for use in emails and on the website and other marketing materials throughout the year.

IT & Web Development

Volunteer(s) will manage and update content for website. Experience with Drupal is preferred.

Fundraising & Financial Management

Volunteers will work to develop fundraising campaigns, process donation requests, follow up on pledges, manage donor relations and brainstorm innovative ways to raise money.
